I shoot all .010 pins on my 3D set up and my hunting set up. For 3D I use all green, for hunting the pins alternate between green red and yellow, mainly because I didn't want to special order my sights and just haven't really felt like changing the fibers myself on my hunting bow like I did my 3D set up. I don't know what "cheap" sight you are using, but I am a big fan of Sword sights...very high quality for right around $100 for the Twilight Hunter, and you get your choice of a 1.5" or 2.0" sight housing.
